APPL Wrap Up
Well the last match of our schedule is now complete. Sadly, it was a very close match, we could not overcome a three point margin for the win (25-22). So the Big Dills finish the 2024 season with a very respectable 3rd place 6-4 win/loss record. Players for this final match were:
Perry Young & Chris Johnson 7 pts
Scott Willms & Chris Chansley 8 pts
Dale Ermel & Steve Vielleux 7 pts
Well done, gentlemen!
As a final message, I firmly believe this park can support more APPL teams, especially those playing at a 2.5, 3.0 & 3.5 levels. Don’t worry if you don’t have an “official” rating as you can start out at these levels with a self-rating or captains rating which can be obtained easily without any special effort. Feel free to contact me if there is anyone out there willing to start out as captain or co-captain for any of these levels in gender (women’s or men’s) or mixed with 50+ & 65+ age groups.
All the information you might need is on the APPL website: https://arizonapickleballplayersleague.org/
Cheers,
Perry Young
